Gintyre. Carradale. Carradales Luxury Guest House.

Our Blog

On 12th – 14th April Carradales celebrate Gintyre. This is a celebration of Scottish gin held over three days in Campbeltown and Carradale, Kintyre.

The first Gintyre Festival took place in 2018 and this year will be even better! There will be 12 producers of gins taking part.

You can buy tickets direct from Campbeltown Town Hall.

Well what can you expect? A weekend of gin events – Gin Dinners, special Cinema screenings and of course Gin tasting and not just in Campbeltown.  Carradales will be getting involved too.

Apart from Carradales, the main tasting event will take place in the wonderful restored Campbeltown Town Hall and will give gin enthusiasts the opportunity to meet producers and try gins from local companies Beinn an Tuirc Distillers (Kintyre Gin) and William Cadenheads (Old Raj) as well as invited guest producers from around Scotland.

There are so many reasons to want to stay at Carradales during the festival. The events may be in Campbeltown, but Carradales offers something different and you won’t miss out!

With only a 20 minute bus ride away, you can forget the car, enjoy the scenery on route and really make the most of your stay in this stunning part of Kintyre.

Carradales Luxury Guest House offers fully licensed luxury accommodation and really does make a great base to enjoy the festivities.

If you like your comforts, food and Gin then Carradales Luxury Guest House is the place to stay.

Carradales have a selection of Kintyre Gin from Torrisdale only 10 minutes away and tours can be arranged by Carradales Luxury Guest House.

You can start and finish the day in style before retiring to your luxury accommodation with one of Kintyre’s Gin and Tonics or even a Gin and Ginger Ale!

Steve, our professional Chef will introduce some great food to Gintyre inspired menu. Last year it was his Gin and Lemon Mousse which was a great hit. I am almost sure that will be on the menu again. Have the best of both worlds and celebrate Gintyre in style at
Carradales Luxury Guest House.

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we announce the closure of Carradales.

The relentless pressures and challenges of the hospitality industry have finally taken their toll, making it impossible for us to continue.

Of course, it goes without saying that current bookings will be honoured.

We would like to thank all our local, UK and international guests and suppliers for their support.

With all best wishes

Maurice and Steve
