The Queen\u2019s Green Canopy<\/em>\u00a0(QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty\u2019s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the United Kingdom to\u00a0\u201cPlant a Tree for the<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Jubilee\u201d<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n
With a focus on planting sustainably, the QGC will encourage the planting of trees to create a legacy in honour of The Queen\u2019s leadership of the Nation, which will benefit future generations.<\/p>\n
As well as inviting the planting of new trees,\u00a0The Queen\u2019s Green Canopy<\/em>\u00a0will dedicate a network of 70 Ancient Woodlands across the United Kingdom and identify 70 Ancient Trees to celebrate Her Majesty\u2019s 70 years of service.<\/p>\n
Carradales Luxury Guest House have planted a Crab Apple Tree in Her Majesty\u2019s honour and have added their Jubilee tree to The Queen’s Green Canopy map. Her Majesty and The Prince of Wales planted the first Jubilee tree in the grounds of Windsor Castle in March, to mark the launch of the QGC.<\/p>\n
