I honestly believe that you should reserve a few days in Argyll to explore. It is very sparsely populated and so easy to experience solitude and remote untouched beauty. It will take your breath away. You\u2019ll find breath-taking coastal scenery, lochs, mountains, forests, secret beaches, fishing villages, castles, relics of times gone by, renowned golf courses, birds of prey, a paradise for nature lovers, photographers and whisky distilleries.<\/p>\n
Stretching from the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, Loch Fyne, 30 minutes away, in the south to Loch Craignish in the north, over to Knapdale and Crinan in the west, across to Inveraray and Loch Awe in the east, with Kilmartin Glen inn the Heart of Argyll, we have some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe.<\/p>\n
Tarbert is also the starting point for those forgetting the car to walk or cycle the 103 \u2013 mile Kintyre Way. Walk up to Tarbert Castle, a medieval stronghold which became an important site for Robert the Bruce.<\/p>\n

Historic Kilmartin Glen has the most important concentration of Neolithic and Bronze Age remains in Scotland. At least 800 ancient monuments of which 150 are prehistoric, lie within 6 miles of Kilmartin Village and Kilmartin Museum has 6000 years of human history.<\/p>\n
