Carradales – Cyclists Welcome

Our Blog

Carradales – Caledonia Way Route 78 – A route steeped in Culture and History

The Caledonia Way route 78 of the National Cycle Network (NCN) runs from Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula on the west coast of Scotland and heads north east following the Caledonian Canal up through the Great Glen via Loch Ness and finally on to Inverness.

A truly beautiful way to see Scotland at its finest.

Visitors with an interest in cycling and a concern for the environment have been considered by VisitScotland in the development of the Cyclists Welcome Scheme which recognises the special efforts made by businesses to provide for them, and to help them choose suitable accommodation.

Carradales is a member of the Cyclists Welcome Scheme and has been accredited by VisitScotland as been able to meet the specific needs of cyclists.

With this in mind, take a break and Stay at Carradales, Kintyre’s only 5 Star Visit Scotland Guest House.

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we announce the closure of Carradales.

The relentless pressures and challenges of the hospitality industry have finally taken their toll, making it impossible for us to continue.

Of course, it goes without saying that current bookings will be honoured.

We would like to thank all our local, UK and international guests and suppliers for their support.

With all best wishes

Maurice and Steve
