Autumn at Carradales in Kintyre

Our Blog

Summer may be over, but Autumn brings an excitement all its own. Nature really does come into its own with seclusion and peace sees flocks of seabirds, otters, and seals from various points of the Kintyre Peninsula.

The colours of Autumn are now starting to show. This is a beautiful sight, and the heathers are just coming to bloom. Kintyre is so underexplored and when clear, this is a perfect time to visit and walk one of the many forest paths.

Nighttime brings its own magic with thousands of stars starting to show themselves. Guests can marvel whilst gazing into the heavens using our powerful telescope on the landing of Carradales Luxury Guest House.

After a day of exploring castles, the stunning surrounds, perhaps a round of golf at Carradales Golf course, a 9-hole hidden gem or a visit to a whisky or gin distillery, Carradales is the perfect base from which to explore.

Later, on your return, sooth your mind and body in your spacious Victorian inspired ensuite bathroom using toiletries from “Arran Aromatics”, you’ll be completely relaxed in no time at all.

Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge to read, listen to music or simply gaze at the views of the open countryside and when cold you can snug up and enjoy the roaring fire from the Victorian Fireplace with a wee dram of Springbank or Glen Scotia or glass of Taittinger Champagne before a hearty meal prepared using locally sourced ingredients by Steve, our truly amazing and accomplished Chef.
